Today, a press conference of the Bollywood film “The Diary of West Bengal” was organized with the team of the film at Country Club Veera Desai Road, Andheri West, Mumbai. On this occasion, all the team of the film was present. These days, the Bollywood film ‘ A lot of discussions are being heard about ‘The Diary of West Bengal’. The censorship of this film has been done but the Censor Board is not giving certificate for the release of this film. The producer-director is making rounds of the Censor Board. Tired of putting it in but Censor Board Chairman Prasoon Joshi or anyone from his team is refraining from saying anything about this film. In such a situation, the producer is incurring a loss of crores of rupees in making this film.
A press conference has been organized today in Mumbai regarding this issue in which the entire team of the film “The Diary of West Bengal” was present. Talking about this film, the film’s producer Wasim Rizvi alias Jitendra Narayan Singh says that we had made a film based on true events and for that, Jamia Darul Uloom, a terrorist organization based in Karachi, Pakistan, has issued a fatwa against us. Has given and has threatened not to release the film, tell me whether we will now have to take permission from Pakistan based terrorist organizations to make and release the film in India? Should we now understand that the Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal is being run by people from Pakistan’s terrorist organization? Because they are the ones who have problem with the release of the film and here Mamata Banerjee’s government is not allowing it to be released. Then what should be understood of the relationship with these terrorists? Is freedom of expression and cinematic liberty available only to people with leftist ideology in our country? Don’t we independent people have any right on this cinematic liberty and freedom of expression? Will we now be tortured for exposing social evils? Who will compensate for the losses we have suffered so far through this film? If everything is going well in West Bengal then why doesn’t Mamata government allow our film to be released? Why is Mamata Banerjee’s government running after our team? Have we committed any crime by making a film? Why is Mamata government not giving any clear reason? If Mamata Banerjee’s government is not helping the Rohingyas and Bangladeshi infiltrators in West Bengal, then why does it not prove this publicly? Why is she bent on proving our film a propaganda film without releasing it?
While talking about the subject matter of the film The Diary of West Bengal, the film’s director Sanoj Mishra looked very excited. He said that we have made a film based on a very true incident in which we have pointed out the increasing organized crime and targeted violence in West Bengal. Now this may seem bad only to those who are its supporters, so what should we do? When films with issues like Mission Kashmir, Haider, Udta Punjab, Kashmir Files, The Kerala Story can be released in this country, then what is the harm in releasing our film? We have also raised an issue, have we shown anything beyond humanity in the film? Did those other films have special status? We should also be allowed to release the film. This film of mine is completely ready which will be released all over India on 27th April. For which all preparations have been done.
Yajur Marwah, actor of the film The Diary of West Bengal, says that he is very excited about this film, for the first time he has got a chance to play the lead role in a film based on a true incident, since doing this film he has been very excited. Have become extremely sensitive towards such incidents. The film should have been released by now. The film's actress Arshin Mehta says that such films are not made again and again. We have done justice to our character to a great extent, The Diary of West Bengal will serve the truth of that place to a great extent. We were planning to release this film in February itself so that people from all over the country could see and give their opinion about the film, but now everything is not in our control, right? We have done our part, now we are just waiting for the release of the film.
